President & CEO, IAEE
David DuBois is the President and CEO of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events® (IAEE). As IAEE’s president, DuBois is responsible for the management of 25 full-time professional staff, producing the annual business operating plan and budget, overseeing the support of all meetings of governance units, leading business development, directing fund raising efforts, advocating for the industry and the organization’s members, providing organizational leadership and strategic counsel to the board. Also, he serves as the association’s representative with industry coalitions, partner organizations and strategic alliances. In 2019, DuBois was inducted into the Exhibition Industry Council’s “Hall of Leaders,” one of the industry’s most prestigious honors.
Bob McLean, Jr., CPA, CAE, CEM
Executive Vice President, PPAI and 2020 Chairperson of IAEE Board of Directors
Robert (Bob) McLean is PPAI’s Executive Vice President. He was hired in June 2008 as Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for finance and administration, information technology and the Promotional Products Education Foundation. In October 2011, Bob was promoted to EVP and now oversees PPAI’s tradeshow and membership departments.

Before joining Fern, Jim worked for PRG for nearly a decade, overseeing branding, social media, public relations, and client engagement. As a college student, Jim was actively involved in student government. His immersion in the campus activity board led him to catch the ‘event bug’ and he has been working in the live event scene ever since. With more than 32 years of professional experience working for Hotels, Service Contractors, Convention Centers and in Audio Visual and Production, Jim has seen it all. Jim recently served as President of the PCMA Capital Chapter, aiming to give back to the industry that has been such an integral part of his life.
In 2014, Jim was honored by PCMA as the “National Distinguished Service Professional of the Year”, and has since continued to do volunteer work in the industry with PCMA, CEMA, and IRF. With a focus on service, transparency, trust and truth, Jim knows how to navigate the fast-paced industry of events, and provide clients with new solutions to support their event objectives.
